Western Culture: Are you a business person who must deal with foreigners? Do you know the western etiquette for conducting meetings? You are invited to dinner and there are 3 forks on the table of varying sizes, do you know which to use and for what food? Do you know which talking subjects are taboo or inappropriate? We can help!

Our seminars start in the classroom where you will discuss and practice real life possible scenarios with a foreigner. You will also learn western food and wine culture which is extremely important in order to create a good business environment. At the end of your training, you will have lunch or dinner with one or several foreigners where you will have the opportunity to practice everything you have learned with confidence.

我们的课程大体分为两部分:首先会在课室里讨论和实践现实生活中可能出现的情况(视情况有些课时可以与外国友人练习);您还可以学习西餐和葡萄酒文化,这对于营造一个良好的商业氛围是极为重要的。培训结束之后,我们会安排您与一个或者几个外国友人共同进餐(午餐或晚餐),届时您将有机会实践您所学到的一切。

Wine Introduction Class: Did you know that there are over 2000 types of grapes used in wine making, including over 1000 of them in Italy?  Do you find reading wine labels to be very confusing? Would you like to learn to taste and examine wine like a professional sommelier? Did you know which wines you can age (keep many years) and which are meant to be drunk right away? In this class you will learn to:

  • Examine and taste wine like a sommelier
  • The proper way to open a bottle, decant and serve the wine
  • Understand the labels and regional laws that control them
  • Know the basic flavor profiles of the most common grape varieties
  • Understand the difference between “old world” and “new world” wines, even when they use the same grape variety (such as Merlot grape)
  • Learn the basic production process of red wines, white wines and sparkling wines

葡萄酒入门课程:您知道有超过2000种的葡萄用来酿造葡萄酒吗?其中意大利就有1000种。当您看到各种酒标的时候,有没有觉得很迷惑?您想像一个专业的侍酒师那样会品味和检查葡萄酒的好坏吗?你知道哪些葡萄酒可以长期保存(保持很多年),哪些需要马上饮用吗?在我们的课堂中您可以知晓这一切:

Wine and Food Pairing Class: The old saying "White wine with white meat, red wine with red meat" is no longer true. There are so many great wines that can match almost any type of food. So how to choose?

This class has 2 parts. First we will discuss how all the different elements in food and wine interact with each other. Then the students will be given food and wine and be asked to describe how each wine changes the texture and taste of the food. Did it improve? Which wine is best? This class requires student participation.

葡萄酒与食物搭配课程:古语所说“白葡萄酒配白肉,红葡萄酒酒配红肉”不再是葡萄酒与食物搭配的真理。事实上有很多精美的葡萄酒,可以搭配几乎任何类型的食物。那么该如何选择呢?

 这个课程有2个部分。首先,我们将讨论在食品和葡萄酒中各自所有不同的元素是如何影响对方的。接着学生将品尝老师提供的食物和酒,品尝的过程中要说明每种酒是如何改变食物的质地和口感的。酒的口感有没有被食物提高?哪款葡萄酒酒是最好的?这个环节需要学生积极参与。

Introduction to Spirits: Here we will examine the most common spirits. Their method of production, flavor profiles and quality levels. Some of the spirits we will study are: Whisky (Scotch, Irish, American), Cognac, Armagnac, Vodka, Gin, Rum.

烈酒介绍课程:我们将介绍最常见的烈酒,也就是我们平时说的洋酒。我们会介绍这些烈酒的生产过程,风味材质和这些就的档次级别。我们将研究的一部分烈酒包括以下几款:威士忌(苏格兰,爱尔兰,美国),干邑,阿马尼亚克酒,伏特加,杜松子酒,朗姆酒。

Introduction to Liqueurs: Countries around the world have been making liqueurs for centuries. Liqueurs are historical descendants of herbal medicines; they were made in Italy as early as the 13th century and were often prepared by monks (e.g. Chartreuse). Some liqueurs are prepared by infusing certain woods, fruits, or flowers in either water or alcohol and adding sugar or other items. Others are distilled from aromatic or flavoring agents. In this class we will discuss (and taste!) some of the most famous liqueurs from around the world. Many of these can be found in various cocktails.

Advanced Whisky Class: This course is for people who already have a good basic knowledge of whisky. We will go much deeper into regions of production, local flavors and styles and the laws that govern them. We will also do blind tastings of several whisky using professional methodology. For serious students only.

高级威士忌课程:本课程是针对那些已经有良好的威士忌基础知识的人。我们要更深入地研究威士忌的生产地区,当地的口味和风格,以及支配他们的法律。我们还要通过专业的方法做一些威士忌盲品。本课程只面向对威士忌求知欲强烈的学生。

Advanced Cognac Class: This course is for people who already have a good basic knowledge of Cognac. We will study both Cognac and its cousin, Armagnac. Regions of production, local flavors and styles and the laws that govern them. We will also do blind tastings of several Cognacs using professional methodology. For serious students only.
